Trains and Toy Soldiers - Web Design and Development
Trains and Toy Soldiers is an e-commerce website with a primary focus on selling Model Trains and various Toy Soldier Figurings. This project included customization of a BigCommerce pre-built theme that the client previously purchased. Some customization included restructuring of navigation and footer elements, introducing various product and image carousels, creating a prominent search feature in the top navigation bar, and creating page templates per client request. The customization included development work in the Stencil Theme files as well as through the BigCommerce backend.
Gentle Dental Care - Web Design & Development
A project that started as a final group project for my Web Development II course at Northwest Missouri State University, it transformed into ongoing freelance work. My group’s final design and implementation was chosen by the client for use as his business’s website. After launching the website, the client wanted to change certain aspects of his website without digging through code. After installing WordPress, I redesigned and developed custom templates based on the original designs.
Millard North Mustangs - Web Design & Development
A project from Open Caret of which I designed various page templates using a drag-and-drop design WordPress plugin to keep the project within the clients budget. Using this plugin allowed for the site construction to be expedited while remaining within financial boundaries. Through this project, I encountered slightly complex site structure and new technologies of which I had to learn and implement in a small time period.
FireGuard USA - Content Management
A project from Open Caret of which I converted all images and content to fit custom page templates designed by Cameron Ramaekers. This project entailed editing all images supplied by the client to fit template sizes on the website with Photoshop. Through this project, I became very familiar with the backend of WordPress, as well as Photoshop’s ‘Save for Web’ feature to create correctly sized files.
